Nordstrom Rack Grand Opening in Austin Texas!
Don't miss this event! The Nordstrom Rack opens in the Gateway Plaza in Austin Texas on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The Rack store features hot brands and trends at the best prices.
I suspect people will be camped out the night before to be one of the first 1,000 customers in the door. Arrive early and enter the sweepstakes "Race Through the Rack, a chance to be the first customer to enter the store and have 90 seconds to select a $ amount of merchandise for FREE.
I'm so excited for this store to open! My last visit to the Nordstrom Rack in San Antonio netted me a $175 pair of designer pants for $14.97! The shoe department has an amazing selection of shoes and INCREDIBLE prices!!

Waterpark to slide into Central Texas
Pflugerville
A large waterpark called Blu Bambu is proposed for the southwest corner of Pecan Street and Toll I30 in Pflugerville. It could open as soon as summer 2010 and is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors annually.
Much larger than Volente Beach Waterpark but smaller than Schlitterbahn, Blu Bambu waterpark will feature a large wave pool, a stage for after-hours and off-season concerts, and action river, a longer lazy river, eight to 10 large water slides, activity areas for young children, sand volleyball courts and covered pavillions.
Texas-based entrepreneurs Jim Brisco and Steve Hanvey plan to begin construction on the $16 million project in November and hope to open the waterpark in May 2010. The project timeline is still being finalized.
